Dandridge, Acuna Star in La Jolla's 'Most Wanted' Oct.2-11
La Jolla Playhouse presents Most Wanted, a Page To Stage Workshop Production as the inaugural
production of The Edge series beginning October 2.
"In the wake of the media frenzy surrounding the brutal murder, drag queens, divas and dandies all gather to take us on a kaleidoscopic journey through high fashion, glossy magazines, low dives, and into the mind of a young killer," explain press notes.
The cast stars Arthur Acuna, Merle Dandridge, Zandide Jesus, Danny Gurwin, Michael Grant Hall, Leah Hocking, Peter Kapetan, Ken Page, Daniel Torres, David Nathan Perlow and Michael Winther.
Most Wanted features music by Mark Bennett, book by Jessica Hagedorn, lyrics by Mark Bennett and Jessica Hagedorn and directed by Michael Greif. The creative team includes Charlie Alterman (music director), Javier Velasco (choreography), Steven C. Kemp (sets), Dan Lipton (orchestrations), Clint Ramos (costumes), Tom Ontiveros (lighting), Philip G. Allen (sound).
Performances begin Tuesday, October 2 at 7:30PM through Sunday, October 14 at 7PM, at Mandell Weiss Forum at La Jolla Playhouse (2910 La Jolla Village Drive, La Jolla, CA).
Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 7:30PM; Thursdays & Fridays at 8PM; Saturdays at 2PM & 8PM; Sundays at 2PM & 7PM.
