CRABSHLEY Solo Clown Show To Debut at Hollywood Fringe Festival
Maggie Monahan stars in the Mal Merpi-directed show at The Broadwater Studio.
CRABSHLEY, a new solo clown show written by and starring Maggie Monahan, will make its debut at the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Broadwater’s Studio space.
The 30-minute production follows Crabshley, a human-sized horseshoe crab who returns home for a wedding and struggles to reconnect with friends and family while confronting expectations surrounding adulthood and personal milestones. According to the production, the show explores themes of societal norms, identity, and the biomedical industry through absurdist comedy and clown performance.
The production is directed by Mal Merpi, with Laurie Magers and Haley Hepworth serving as consulting producers.
Preview performances begin June 9, 2026. Additional performances are scheduled for June 13 at 10:30 p.m. and June 20 at 5:00 p.m.
