Aimee Mann, Mia Doi Todd Added to Hollywood Bowl Summer Season Line-Up

Mia Doi Todd joins the premier line-up for KCRW's World Festival: Global Soul with Rickey Minor, Stevie Wonder and Friends. Previously announced special guests include ShaRon Jones, Janelle Monáe, Grace Potter, Rocky Dawuni, Ceci Bastida, Bombino, and The Soul Seekers.

In a celebration of soul music from around the world, musical director Rickey Minor (American Idol, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Stevie Wonder and guests take the audience on a tour of soul sounds across cultures, genres and generations...the final stop is a 40th-anniversary tribute to Marvin Gaye's classic album, What's Going On. (Sunday, July 24 at 7:00 pm)

Aimee Mann joins the stellar line-up for Joni's Jazz. Previously announced artists include Herbie Hancock, Glen Hansard, Chaka Khan, Wayne Shorter and Cassandra Wilson.

One of the most influential songwriters of the late 20th century, known primarily for her acoustic folk, Joni Mitchell also turned to jazz musicians creating a thrilling new context for her songs. Led by drummer/musical director Brian Blade, this evening celebrates Mitchell's daring jazz-based recordings - including a performance of her 1975 masterpiece The Hissing of Summer Lawns with all-star special guest singers and musicians. (Wednesday, August 17 at 8:00 pm)
