A Noise Within Presents NOISES OFF, 1/6-1/15

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, brings its hit production of Michael Frayn's NOISES OFF to its new Pasadena theatre for a brief run from Friday, January 6 to Sunday, January 15, 2012, reprising for eight performances the comedy that played to sold-out houses at its former Glendale venue during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. Featuring the original A Noise Within cast, Noises Off, directed by Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott, pays tribute to the art of theatre-making itself as chaos reigns onstage and off. 

"Noises Off is truly one of our signature presentations, with people returning to see it two or more times," says Elliott. Rodriguez-Elliott adds, "Everything about the deft physical and verbal interplay between actors is ideal for A Noise Within's focus on ensemble work."

Frayn's joyfully out-of-control British farce features an under-rehearsed and over-worked bumbling troupe of veteran thespians, with a penchant for drama more personal than professional, readying themselves for the world premiere of a new play whose auspicious title is Nothing On. In the process they bring the house down, quite literally. The cast features Shaun Anthony (Tim Allgood), Apollo Dukakis (Selsdon Mowbray), Geoff Elliott (Lloyd Dallas), Jill Hill (Brenda Blair), Mikael Salazar (Garry Lejeune), Lenne Klingaman (Poppy Norton-Taylor), Emily Kosloski (Brooke Ashton), Stephen Rockwell (Frederick Fellowes) and Deborah Strang (Dotty Otley).

Single tickets are $46 (Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees); and $42 (Sunday evenings and Saturday matinees). Groups (10 or more) are $27 (weekdays and Saturday matinees), and $32 (Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees); School Groups (10 or more) are $16 (weekdays and matinees), or $20 (Saturday evenings).
