The brightest stars of Jazz at Lincoln Center arrive at the Staller Center with a vibrant journey through the first 50 years of Jazz Song. Charting through the history of Jazz, under the musical direction of Riley Mulherkar, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Songs We Love takes its audience on a trip through time. With a band outfitted by brilliant musicians hand-picked by Jazz at Lincoln Center, 3 guest vocalists will explore a songbook that features music by iconic artists like Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Judy Garland. This touring initiative functions to provide affordable opportunities for audiences to connect with up-and-coming musicians at the onset of their bright careers. It is also an expansion of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s mission to “entertain, enrich, and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy”
