THEATRE THREE presents the Long Island premiere of the joyous musical
HALF TIME!
From the creators of THE WEDDING SINGER, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, THE PROM, and LEGALLY BLONDE, HALF TIME is the incredible true story of ten determined dreamers who audition to dance at half time for a major basketball team. They have three things in common: they love to dance, they have something to prove, and they are all over 60 years old! Only after making the cut, do they learn they won’t be dancing tap, salsa, or swing — instead, they will bring down the house with hip-hop! This determined senior squad battles self-doubt, stereotypes, and even each other for a chance to bust a move at center court in front of 20,000 screaming fans.
When the odds are stacked against you and the challenges seem too great, it’s not the end of the game — it’s HALF TIME!

June 01, 2025 In 2006, the New Jersey Nets, now Brooklyn Nets, were not having a great season. To keep interest in the team outside of basketball, Barry Baum, Nets Basketball VP of Business and Entertainment PR, decided to create a senior dance team that would perform during half time.About the Theatre

As a recognized pillar of the North Texas arts community, T3 enriches lives by bringing engaging, provocative, and professionally produced theatrical experiences. Outside of performances, we nurture artistic skills by fostering local playwrights, training adult actors, and engaging young artists with internship opportunities and summer youth programming.
