SoLuna Studio Presents AMERICAN IDIOT
SoLuna Studio will produce the musical AMERICAN IDIOT as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running July 31st-August 16th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.
Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults. At the door, tickets for students and seniors are $20 each and $25 for adults. Group rates are also available. An energy-fueled rock opera, the two-time TONY Award-winning hit musical AMERICAN IDIOT, based on Green Day's GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum album, boldly takes the American musical where it's never gone before. This high-octane show includes every song from Green Day's album American Idiot, as well as several songs from follow-up release, 21st Century Breakdown.
Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend familial responsibilities, and Johnny's attention becomes divided by a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship.
The musical won two 2010 Tony Awards and also received a nomination for Best Musical. On February 13, 2011, it won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
