The Long Island Theater Collective, a local theater production company, today announced the debut of their 2015 season with the opening of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett on October 2 and 3rd at 8pm at the Studio Theatre in Lindenhurst. This play will be an ambitious offering in their second season. The rest of the season will consist of a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol, A New Plays Festival and William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

The very talented Lenny Motsinger is returning to the director's chair and rediscovering his love for the work, he has directed all four of the actors in the past. Godot will star Long Island Theater Collective actors Michael Paul Smith as Vladamir, Ian Michael Sullivan as Estragon, Christopher Cuoccio as Pozzo and Kevin Mundy as Lucky.

"We are really pleased to be starting our second season with the debut of Waiting for Godot," said Ian Michael Sullivan, Founder and Artistic Director of Long Island Theater Collective. "Our younger company is taking on roles that are usually played by much older actors, and this thought provoking play that is as resonant today as it was when it was written in 1948. The company is comprised of actors who went to Holy Trinity High School together and are eager to reunite their artistic talents in our new home in Lindenhurst at the Studio Theatre."

The purpose of the Long Island Theatre Collective is to bring quality, professional, affordable theatre to the Long Island community. No one will be turned away from an LITC production because they can't afford the price of a ticket, and ticket revenue and monetary donations are put directly toward our productions, community outreach, and compensation for our artists.
