Juilliard School Hosts 'Dancing Through College and Beyond', 10/3
"Dancing Through College and Beyond" will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the sessions begin at 10am; the conference ends at 5pm. To be held at The Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Plaza, 155 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023, this day is for students, parents and teachers to explore dance opportunities beyond high school. It is presented by Career Transition For Dancers, Dancewave, Dance/NYC and Pentacle with space generously provided by The Juilliard School. This is event is a part of Dance/NYC's College 4 Dancers and Dancewave's Kids Cafe Festival Goes to College. This is a full day of networking, information and panels to help high school students, teachers, and parents of students navigate dancing in college from applications through graduation. Free for all participants, the panels will bring together over 20 college admissions representatives, college professors, career counselors, alumni and even parents of dance program alums to give you their expert advice on how to get into the program that's right for you; make the most of all that the school has to offer and prepare for a successful career post-graduation.
