Bay Street Theatre has announced the MARDI GRAS DANCE PARTY on Saturday, March 8 at 8 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance online at www.baystreet.org or at the Box Office at 631-725-9500 or $35 on the day of the event. Enjoy the fun of Mardi Gras with the HOODOO LOUNGERS and JOE DELIA & THIEVES. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their Mardi Gras finest.
It's not a dance party without the music of the HOODOO LOUNGERS! The band brings all the sounds, excitement and feeling of a true New Orleans Mardi Gras. From the funk of the Neville Brothers and the Meters, to the R&B of Dr. John and Professor Longhair to the traditional Dixieland and Jazz of Louis Armstrong and Louis Prima, the band offers a variety of sounds for a great party. The nine piece band plays the full spectrum of New Orleans music in a fast paced, dynamic show.
JOE DELIA & THIEVES brings hot rollicking blues to this year's Mardi Gras fun. Joe Delia, a gold and platinum record producer and writer, is internationally-known as a blazing keyboardist and consummate showman. Joe's locally experienced and penned songs, like the plaintive "Under the Montauk Moon" and the N'Orleans-flavored "What Took You So Long" enjoys regular airplay on the East End. Delia's last appearance at Bay Street brought on a standing ovation.
