SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ to Play The Rep, 6/4-6/27
The Arkansas Repertory Theatre will present a production of SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ to be staged from June 4 to 27, 2010.
If you love the pop music of the ‘50s and ‘60s, come enjoy the stuff of legend with electrifying entertainment that illuminates a golden age of American culture with Smokey Joe's Café: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller.

Pop-rock writers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller began their careers writing for Elvis Presley, the Drifters and the Coasters in the early 1950s, and continued well into the ‘60s as they wrote for Aretha Franklin, Ruth Brown, Peggy Lee, Lavern Baker, Steve Lawrence and Perry Como, just to name a few.
Smokey Joe's Café showcases the talents of this dynamic songwriting duo, including smash hits like "Stand By Me," "Poison Ivy," "Fools Fall In Love," "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," "Love Potion #9" and "On Broadway."
