The Electrifying SPRING AWAKENING Opens Today

This Tony Award-winning musical explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. Spring Awakening is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that exhilarates.
Based on the controversial 1891 play by Franz Wedekind, this fresh rock version has become a modern classic following two successful Broadway runs, launching the careers of Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele.
Featuring music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, Spring Awakening brims with raw emotion as the teens of a rural German village face challenges of growing up not unlike today. Directed by Troy Heard, with choreography by Jenna Szoke (Bigfoot the Musical) and musical direction by Andrew Tyler (Cabaret), with a live orchestra.
We dare say Spring Awakening is possibly the most moving and emotional production Majestic Rep has produced to date, and we can't wait to share it with you.
