RAMBIS Set for Insurgo Theatre; Opens 2/12
Insurgo Theatre Movement presents 'Rambis' opening on February 12 with a run scheduled through March 6, 2010.
Darryl, an ultra fan of the retired basketball player Kurt Rambis, is slowly dying of cancer in a weekly apartment in Las Vegas, NV. He's visited by his estranged son, a professional singing waiter, who has come to whisk his father away to Mexico. When Randy leaves the house his duffle bag begins to move, and his girlfriend Karen is revealed inside. After being rescued, Karen introduces Darryl to Crystal Meth, performance art, and hip-hop, and when Randy comes back with a pistol and a mission, Darryl is prompted to actively save his family from dying with him.
Written by Ernie Curcio, the production is part of the Insurgo Original Series and is directed by Curcio and assisted by Daneal Doerr. It stars Tony Foresta, BranDon Jones and Breon Jenay. It is intended for mature audiences.
