MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Celebrates Opening at Harrah's Las Vegas Tonight
Harrah's Las Vegas comes alive tonight as MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET celebrates its grand opening. The smash-hit production is inspired by the extraordinary true story of the fateful evening that brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together for one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions in history.
The talented cast performing opening night are Robert Britton Lyons as Carl Perkins, Benjamin D. Hale as Johnny Cash, Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis, Tyler Hunter as Elvis Presley, Marc D. Donovan as Sam Phillips, and Felice Garcia as Dyanne.
Celebrities expected to attend include Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Holly Madison, Claire Sinclair (2011 Playboy Playmate of the Year), Ricardo Laguna (Professional BMX Rider and MTV Tr3s Personality), Rita Rudner (Comedian), Angel Porrino (Star of E!'s "Holly's World" and ABSINTHE), Jabbawockeez (World Famous Dance Crew), and Chef Carla Pellegrino (Owner of Bratalian and Meatball Spot).
The Tony Award Winning musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET takes place on December 4, 1956, when Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" who was responsible for launching the careers of each superstar, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time.
MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET brings that legendary December night to life with the extraordinary story of secrets, betrayal, and the once in a lifetime celebration of four friends that is both poignant and funny. Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock 'n' roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians.
