Harrah’s Improv in Las Vegas To Host The 'Up Yours' Comedy Contest Finals

For 50 years, Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow have discovered thousands of comics through their legendary Comedy Club franchise "The Improv." The Impresarios, along with Pixo Entertainment, have built a site where comics are competing online for a chance to win $25,000 in bookings at Harrah's Las Vegas and Harveys Lake Tahoe.

"Mark and I felt with so many years of giving comics their start, a social media tie-in we would be able to reach more comics than ever and continue to help them along their path," said founder Budd Friedman. "This is the first of many contests and just the beginning of what we are building online and with Harrah's properties."

Prominent Hollywood talent agency APA is coming aboard to launch the www.improvcc.com contest in Las Vegas and Senior Vice President, Danny Robinson will serve on the panel of judges alongside local Las Vegas journalists and media representatives. Six finalists were selected from months of voting online and will be flown to Las Vegas to compete for the prestigious title.

Friedman, Lonow and Producer Christopher Spellman are also looking to bring this show to television. Pixo Entertainment, in the next several months, is working on building out the site to grow and maintain a global presence for comedy from around the world.
