Kevin Nealon to Perform at The Orleans Showroom, 8/24-25

By:

Kevin Nealon comes to The Orleans Showroom August 24 and 25.

Nealon is best known for his nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” and has received critical acclaim for his role in the current Showtime series “Weeds” – now entering its final season.

As one of the longest running cast members on “SNL” (1986-1995), Nealon created some of the show’s most memorable characters, including “The Subliminal Man” and “Hans and Franz.  He was also well-known for his recurring role as an anchor on “Weekend Update.” In 1988, he earned an Emmy Award® nomination as part of the “SNL” writing team.

“Weeds,” currently in its eighth season, has been honored with multiple award nominations including Golden Globes® nominations for “Best Television Series Comedy or Musical” and nominations from the Screen Actors Guild for an “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.” On the show, Nealon portrays a stoned accountant and business advisor.

A sought-after guest star on television, Nealon has made a number of appearances on “Monk,” “Fat Actress,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Still Standing.” In late 2009, Nealon’s one hour stand-up special, “Kevin Nealon: Now Hear Me Out!” aired on Showtime.

On the big screen, Nealon has found great comedic success. In “Just Go With It,” he played opposite Jennifer Aniston and fellow “SNL” comedian, Adam Sandler.  Nealon and Sandler also teamed up in the “Anger Management,” “Eight Crazy Nights,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Happy Gilmore” and “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.”

In “Joe Dirt,” Nealon joined another “SNL” alumnus, David Spade.  Nealon’s additional film credits include “Daddy Day Care” with Eddie Murphy, “Good Boy” with Molly Shannon, “Roxanne” with Steve Martin and the cult hit “Grandma’s Boy” with Jonah Hill and Nick Swardson.

In 2008, Nealon released his first book, “Yes, You’re Pregnant, But What About Me?” – a comical look at the male perspective of pregnancy.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $24.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased at any Coast Casinos Box Office, by calling 702.365.7075, or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.
