Comedian Sinbad Returning to The Orleans Showroom, 2/5-6

Beloved actor and comedian Sinbad returns to The Orleans Showroom Feb. 5-6.

Sinbad is best known for his various television and movie appearances throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including several of his HBO comedy specials.

His comedy is built on stories that include exchanges with family, friends and strangers, as well as the time he spent in the United States Air Force. As the son of a preacher, Sinbad is committed to clean-cut, universally appealing comedy. He also takes the trials and tribulations of audience members and pokes fun, creating an interactive comedy experience.

Beginning his career as a seven-time contestant on "Star Search," Sinbad landed his first television role in "A Different World" in 1987. By 1993, his popularity led him to star in his own series "The Sinbad Show." Sinbad made his film debut playing Andre Krimm in "Necessary Roughness" and also had leading roles in "Jingle All the Way," "Houseguest" and "First Kid."

Sinbad was named one of Comedy Central's top-100 comedians and was featured in a special program on the network in 2010. He received a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Award two years in a row for his annual HBO special "Sinbad's '70s Soul Music Festival."

In 2015, Sinbad performed multiple United Service Organizations (USO) shows for troops deployed to Bagram and Kandahar Air Bases in Afghanistan.
