As part of Caesars Palace's 50th Anniversary "Summer of Caesars" celebration, the iconic property pays homage to its colorful history of hosting amazing daredevil action with a night jump by the Red Bull Air Force skydiving team in front of the famed resort. The daring stunt is set to take place on Sunday, July 3 at 9 p.m. during the free Independence Day Weekend Block Party and will be followed by a colossal 13 ½ minute fireworks extravaganza set directly above the hotel's newly-reimagined Julius Tower (weather permitting).

Kicking things off at the stage built over the iconic fountains at Caesars Palace at 8 pm will be a roster of live entertainment including beloved winner of 'American Idol" season five, Taylor Hicks, cast members from Absinthe and the UNLV "Star of Nevada" Marching Band.

Caesars Palace has a rich history of hosting suspenseful, daredevil action that dates back to 1967 when Evel Knievel attempted to jump the resort's towering row of fountains on his famous red, white and blue motorcycle - a feat that was successfully completed years later by his son Robbie Knievel in front of a national television audience in 1989. Robbie Knievel was the first to clear the fountains and will be on hand July 3 to witness the latest thrilling stunt at Caesars Palace.

Wearing illuminaTed Wingsuits equipped with red, white and blue LED lights, the Red Bull Air Force will make their adrenaline-pumping jump, skillfully landing on a target on the famed Las Vegas Strip directly in front of Caesars Palace.

"We want to take this opportunity to honor America, celebrate our 50 years and thank everyone who has ever visited our property," says Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner. "The festivities will be highlighted on the evening of Sunday, July 3 with a thrilling stunt honoring Caesars daredevil legacy, a fireworks extravaganza which will be among the largest displays Caesars has ever done, live music and a free public celebration in front of Caesars Palace."

Highlights of Caesars Palace Independence Day Weekend festivities include:
