The UNLV Performing Arts Center presents Tony Award-Winning Hits from Broadway's Greatest Musicals as part of the New York Stage & Beyond Series at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 2. Join three of Broadway's brightest stars - James Barbour, Julia Murney, and Lauren Kennedy - as they perform an evening of Broadway's greatest songs from Tony Award-winning musicals like WEST SIDE STORY, GYPSY, GREASE, and WICKED.

Barbour was nominated for the Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Awards for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Sydney Carton in the Broadway musical version of A TALE OF TWO CITIES. He has starred on Broadway in such Tony-Award winning shows as Stephen Sondheim's ASSASSINS, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as The Beast, CAROUSEL as Billy Bigelow, URINETOWN as Officer Lockstock, and as Edward Rochester in JANE EYRE, for which he received a Drama League Award nomination.

Murney last appeared on Broadway as Elphaba in WICKED after playing the role on the national tour for which she received an Acclaim Award. Other New York credits include LENNON, Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY (Drama Desk nomination), THE VAGINA MONOLOUGES, A CLASS ACT, SAVED, CRIMES OF THE HEART, FIRST LADY SUITE, and TIME AND AGAIN (Lucille Lortel nomination).

Kennedy has starred on Broadway as Lady of the Lake in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical SPAMALOT and opposite Val Kilmer in THE TEN COMMANDMENTS at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. She also has performed on Broadway as Fantine in LES MISERABLES, and as Daisy Hilton in SIDESHOW. In London, she played Nellie in the Trevor Nunn National Theatre production of SOUTH PACIFIC.

Tickets to Broadway's Greatest Hits are $40, $55, and $85 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 895-ARTS (2787) or by visiting pac.unlv.edu. Student rush tickets are $13 each and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available. A $1.25 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Information about all of the season's performances can be found on the Performing Arts Center website, located at pac.unlv.edu.

Founded in 1976, the Performing Arts Center at UNLV continues to be Southern Nevada's premier performing arts venue. Located on the north end of the UNLV campus, the PAC hosts a variety of performances each year in three distinct series - the Charles Vanda Master Series, the New York Stage & Beyond Series, and the UNLV Classical Guitar Series. UNLV and Vegas PBS are graciously sponsoring the season.
