The Toxic Avenger at The Arts Asylum

In this comedic, rock-heavy musical, Melvin Ferd, the Third becomes The Toxic Avenger, a mutant with superhuman strength and a heart of gold!

Melvin Ferd, the Third, wants to clean up Tromaville, the most polluted town in New Jersey. Foiled by the mayor's bullies, Melvin is dumped into a vat of radioactive toxic waste, only to reemerge as The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey's first superhero. Affectionately known as Toxie, our new hero is a mutant freak with superhuman strength and a heart of gold: he's out to save New Jersey, end global warming, and woo the town’s blind librarian.

Rating: PG-13 for Parental Guidance advised

Run Time: 140 minutes. 10 minute intermission included.

Ticket Information: When purchasing tickets, read each description to find the right ticket choice for you! All ticket types serve as general admission. The venue has limited open seating and is open on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 1:30 pm for matinees; doors open at 7:00 pm for evening shows.

“Tip The Talent” Information: There are tip stations featured throughout the venue. Folks are encouraged to tip the talent through cash, check, or e-transfer (Venmo / CashApp) before, during, and after the musical in support of the cast featured in the production. All tips contributed are split evenly among the featured cast.
