Theater Camp Counselor - Ghostlight Theater Camp

Ghostlight Theater Camp is a sleepaway theater camp for ages 9-17. At Ghostlight Theater Camp, our core values are joy, creativity, gratitude, and community. We offer high-caliber theater training, design, and performance opportunities in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York. With a summer at Ghostlight Theater Camp, you can be more than just part of a show; you can become part of a lifetime community of friends. We strive to give our counselors a fulfilling, exciting summer of supporting young theater artists! Counselors are typically in college, recent graduates, or in their 20s. 

This contract's dates are June 18 - August 11.

We are currently seeking counselors to work and live in cabins for boys and non-binary campers.

Cabin Counselor Job Description

• Serve on a team of three counselors to lead their cabin of 8-14 campers 
• Assure campers are properly supervised at all times
• Be aware of and implement safety guidelines
• Lead and actively participate in activities for campers, including classes, rehearsals, tech departments, and recreation
• Be alert to campers’ needs and assist them with personal and/or health problems, and discuss with camp health staff and camp directors.
• Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.
• Counselors may teach elective classes, assist core class teachers (acting, movement, voice), work in one of our theater shops, and/or assist in rehearsals. Counselors will also work as chaperones for trips.

Salary: $2400
