TexArts Professional Series is having open auditions for Boeing, Boeing and Winter Wonderettes on Sunday July 19 from 6pm-10pm. If you are auditioning for Boeing, Boeing, please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue. If you are auditioning for Winter Wonderettes, please prepare one 32 bar/1 minute 60’s song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music, and a headshot and resume.
*Callbacks will be on Monday, July 20 for Boeing, Boeing and Tuesday, July 21 for Winter Wonderettes from 6-10pm.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for talented and diverse performers of all ethnicities that are true triple threats. We desire to be as inclusive as possible and we enthusiastically encourage gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender and nonbinary actors to submit to audition for any roles listed.
Compensation
$750 up to $900 total for nonunion professional actors depending on the number of weeks for all rehearsals and performances including Saturday matinee additions (not including the possible extension). Stipends available for current BFA/BA/AA students.

Boeing, Boeing is scheduled to open on Friday, September 18, 2026, and closes on Sunday October 4, 2026. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Rehearsals are from 6:30-10pm on the weekdays and from 12-6pm on the weekends. There will be one dark day during the week. Shows will be Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Sunday matinee at 2pm with possible Saturday matinee additions.
Synopsis:
Boeing, Boeing is a classic French farce by Marc Camoletti about a Parisian bachelor, Bernard, who juggles three fiancées, all airline stewardesses, by coordinating their flight schedules, but his plan unravels when a new, faster jet brings them all to his apartment at once, leading to chaotic hijinks.
Character Descriptions:
· Bernard: An American playboy living in Paris, Bernard is happily engaged to three different women, none of whom know about the others.
· Gloria: An American airline stewardess from New York City, Gloria is engaged to Bernard. She is a go-getter, sexy and works for TWA.
· Gabriella: An Italian airline stewardess, Gabriella is also engaged to Bernard. She is passionate and feisty and works for Alitalia.
· Gretchen: A German airline stewardess, Gretchen is also engaged to Bernard. She is strong and beautiful and works for Lufthansa.
· Berthe: Bernard’s French housekeeper, Berthe is always exhausted and exasperated.
· Robert: An old-time friend of Bernard’s from Wisconsin, Robert shows up unexpectedly at Bernard’s Paris home.
Winter Wonderettes

Winter Wonderettes is scheduled to open on Friday, December 4, 2026, and closes on Sunday December 20, 2026. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on Monday November 2, 2026. Rehearsals are from 6:30-10pm on the weekdays and from 12-6pm on the weekends. There will be one dark day during the week. Shows will be Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Sunday matinee at 2pm with possible Saturday matinee additions.
Synopsis:
Winter Wonderettes is a festive, lighthearted musical comedy by Roger Bean. Set at a 1968 hardware store holiday party, it follows four high-school friends who are forced to save the day when the boss and the party's Santa go missing.
Character Descriptions:
· Missy: The upbeat, overachieving perfectionist. She is an elementary school teacher, who controls the evening’s events, even when Betty Jean is in charge: Missy is the one to cover for mistakes and is always ready to save the day. Voice type: Soprano
· Suzy: The bubbly, happy-go-lucky, scatterbrained (and pregnant) newlywed. She’s always willing to go along with anyone and anything, and she seems to giggle at just about anything. Voice type: Mezzo alto
· Betty Jean: The class clown who often vies for attention. She loves that she is finally in charge of the group. Recently separated from her husband, she has a strength that belies her goofiness. Voice type: Strong alto
· Cindy Lou: The dynamic "bad girl" with a hidden soft side. She is sexy with a dry and sassy wit and has a miles-high jet-black beehive. She has an incredible soft side and inner depth. Voice type: Mezzo soprano
