STOMP - North American Tour OPEN CALL - The Stomp Company LP

STOMP — The International Sensation is casting athletic individuals to fill specific roles for our upcoming 30th Anniversary North American Tour. STOMP is a non-union percussion/movement piece (members of Actors’ Equity and other unions not excluded).

Who you might be:

• A drummer who moves well
• A dancer who can drum
• An athletic individual with a great sense of rhythm
• Acting ability is strongly preferred
• Performers should have the appearance of late teens to early 30’s
• Performers should be available for one year or longer.
• Rehearsals tentatively scheduled August 26th – September 27th
• The tour is currently scheduled October 2024 – June 2025.
• Performers should be prepared to perform up to a maximum of 8 shows per week for the entire length of the contract.

 

When: Tuesday, July 30th – sign up 9am – 12noon 

Where: NY Center for Creativity & Dance, 287 East 10 Street

 

What you need to know:

• Wear loose, comfortable clothes and boots/shoes with a hard sole
  • No heels, sneakers, or taps
• Be prepared to move
• You do not need to have any material prepared
• Please be prepared to stay in the NYC area at your own expense through Thursday, August 1st for callbacks
• STOMP is a non-union production – Equity and other union members not excluded

 

The process:

1. The audition will last approximately 30 minutes and will occur with 11-14 others
2. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, July 31st and Thursday, August 1, 10am-6pm.

At the end of each step in the process, we will notify you if you will be moving on to the next round. 

If you are offered a role, rehearsals will begin on Monday, August 26th and continue through Friday, September 27th in NYC. You are responsible for your own housing arrangements in NYC. 

U.S. CITIZENS MUST HAVE A PASSPORT VALID THROUGH DECEMBER 2025.

IF NOT A U.S. CITIZEN, YOU MUST HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION TO COMPLETE I-9 REQUIREMENTS (CURRENTLY HOLD A U.S. WORK VISA WHICH IS VALID THROUGH JUNE 2025 & HAVE A PASSPORT VALID THROUGH DECEMBER 2025)

Rehearsal Salary: $700/week

Performance Salary: $1,000/week + $399/week per diem

Benefits include competitive pay, per diem, travel, subsidized health insurance, and single occupancy housing.

Salary: 700-1000/week
