Lighting Director - STOMP National Tour

Opening for Lighting Director - North American Touring Production of STOMP.



Individual will be responsible for ensuring that the technical and aesthetic standards of the show’s lighting are regularly met at all venues.



General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



• Keeping open lines of communication with Electrician and Production Manager

• Liaising with the creators, rehearsal director, and/or designers to ensure that the show’s aesthetic is being maintained

• Working with local crews on load-in, performance, and strike

• Performing preset show duties

• Executing show cues as well as changeover and post show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner

• Supervising the Electrics teams



Qualified candidates must have an extensive background and relevant expertise in lighting design/electrics on tour. Substantial experience in maintaining and repairing production equipment is required. Basic carpentry skills are preferred. Candidates should also be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time, navigate stairs, ladders, etc.

Moreover, applicants must be safety conscious, detail-oriented, organized, and articulate; maintaining a positive, affable disposition while working is critical.



Tour Information

Dates: October 9, 2023 – June 16, 2024

Locations: United States, Canada

Route: includes one nighters, split-weeks, and week-long stays



Compensation is $1,250/week + per diem + single occupancy housing



In accordance with STOMP’s COVID-19 Safety Policy, applicant must be fully vaccinated and have received a booster.



All touring company members must have a passport valid through November 2024.
