Beverly Theatre Guild to Hold Auditions for SHREK: The Musical - Beverly Theatre Guild

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Sundays, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Children Ensemble rehearsals will mostly be on Sundays until Tech Week

TECH WEEK: Sunday April 19th thru Thursday April 23rd



PERFORMANCES

Friday April 24th @ 7:30 p.m.

Saturday April 25th @ 2:00 p.m.

Saturday April 25th @ 7:30 p.m.

Sunday April 26th @ 2:00 p.m.



Callbacks will be on Friday, January 30th, if necessary. We will notify you via text, email, or phone call if you are needed for a callback. If you do not receive a callback, it does not mean you were not cast. It just means the director has seen all she needs from you.



Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your assigned slot to fill out paperwork and bring a list or calendar with your conflicts. We cannot cast people with conflicts during tech week or performances.



Please prepare 16- 32 bars of a song from the show, or a similar style. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music or recorded accompaniment if available.



This is a singing AND dancing audition. Wear comfortable clothing for dancing and bring tap shoes if you have them.
