Black Violin with Special Guest Braxton Cook at Florida Theatre

Grammy-nominated classical-meets-hip-hop duo Black Violin, consisting of classically trained violinists Wilner Baptiste (Wil B) and Kevin Sylvestor (Kev Marcus) alongside their DJ, performs at the historic Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville. The duo combines jazz, hip-hop, funk, and classical influences into a signature sound, and their sixth album Full Circle features boom-bap rhythms, rich orchestration, and lyrics full of hope and persistence. Special guest Braxton Cook, an American alto saxophonist and singer-songwriter who has performed with Jon Batiste, Mac Miller, and Rihanna, joins the performance. Cook is known for blurring the lines between jazz and R&B across albums including Somewhere In Between, No Doubt, and Who Are You When No One Is Watching.
