With hilarious insight on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zones, Defending the Caveman mines The Common themes in relationships that go straight to the funny bone while warming the heart. Defending the Caveman makes us laugh at ourselves, about all the ways that men and woman fight, laugh and love. Defending the Caveman will be at the Wilson Center for the Arts January 26 - 30, 2010 for 6 performances only!

Written by comedian Rob Becker over a three year period that included an informal study of psychology, sociology, and prehistory, Defending the Caveman is full of wonderful scenarios that celebrate the differences between men and women, making it the perfect entertainment option for couples or a girl's night out.

Defending the Caveman will be performed by Michael Van Osch. Born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario and played hockey from the age of 3 all the way through high school. A life filled with sports led Michael to pursue a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Waterloo and finally his MBA at Wilfrid Laurier. His subsequent career in sports marketing led Michael to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia, where he did work for The Olympic Games and The World Cup amongst others.

In a less than linear career move, Michael started his acting career on the stage in Atlanta. Over the years Michael has studied with many of New York's finest acting coaches and enjoyed successes on the stage and screen. Some of Michael's favorite stage roles include Lt. Caffey in Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men," Louie in Neil Simon's "Lost In Yonkers," and Revered Groves in Lanford Wilson's "Book of Days." Michael has also been seen on ABC's "One Life To Live," and in various television commercials as well as many independent and short films.

Michael has been touring with Defending the Caveman since 2004 and resides in Stamford, CT.

DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN will be performed at the WILSON CENTER FOR THE ARTS January 26 - 30, 2010 for six performances only. Tickets range in price from $41.00 to $45.00. Discounts are available for groups of 10+, 20+, or 40+ by calling (904) 632-3228.
