Artist Series and The Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts are proud to present the 8th Annual High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience! This program provides theatre opportunities to 7th-12th graders in the First Coast area and allows them to work hands-on with some of the highest recognized local and regional theatre professionals.

This year, participants will perform How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on July 26-27 and August 2-3 at 8PM and August 4 at 2PM for five performances only at the Wilson Center for the Arts on Florida State College at Jacksonville's South Campus (11901 Beach Blvd). This summer, more than 70 student performers and technicians are training with professional theatre artists in preparation for the production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Power, ambition, greed...it's just another day at the office. From the authors of Guys and Dolls comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar, but potent, dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction, and, of course, true love.

Rob Ashford's 50th Anniversary revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opened on Broadway in March 2011 and starred Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame. Radcliffe played lead role J. Pierrepont Finch through January 1, 2012 and was succeeded by Glee star Darren Criss for three weeks and then Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers.

Winner of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying melds wit, comedy, and romance together to perfection. It's a Broadway classic, with the book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert; music and lyrics by Frank Loesser; based upon the book by Shepard Mead; and originally presented by Cy Feuer and Ernest H. Martin in association with Frank Productions.
