LLT's annual kids' camp and production will come up in early June with a ten day theatre workshop leading to three performances of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. This is open to any elementary, junior high or high school age students including those entering 1st grade next fall.

The workshops and rehearsals will run June 2nd-12th afternoons from 1pm-5pm. Cost for the workshop this year is $75, but for those on a budget, if you register early (before April 15st) that drops to just $55. Families with more than one student get an additional 10% discount.

For more info or an application, drop a line to LLTLaurelMS@aol.com. Act quickly to get in on the great early bird discount.

Seasoned LLT veterans Wess Hughes, Lacy & Shane Cockrell, Missy Sanderson and Pam Johnson will lead daily workshops for the kids to learn the audition, rehearsal, production and performance process, and they'll have an unbelievably memorable time doing it.

Since the theatre started the first student productions back in the 1980s, thousands of kids have appeared on the Arabian stage and had the opportunity to discover and grow their talents and strengths. The camp is great for students will no stage experience at all, as well as for those that have done some shows before.

The experience increases their knowledge and builds their self-confidence while they're having great fun the whole time. And then as a bonus, Mom & Dad and Grandma get to see them perform in the show at the end of the ten day camp.

There are roles for all ages and even non-singers can participate and have fun working on the tech end of a production.

Everyone has seen the hit 1966 TV special How the Grinch Stole Christmas and grew up reading all the famous Dr. Seuss books. Just a couple years ago, the characters of all those books became Broadway stars in this new musical, and the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, the Grinch and all the folks from Whoville make for a delightful new show that kids of all ages will love.
