Enzo Moscato, chansonnier, performs works by Brecht, Duras, Viviani, Weill, Lou Reed, T D ... for a cultured and popular musical journey, refined and original developed by Pasquale Scialò. a recital of strong and suggestive emotions, thanks also to the scenic pictures that accompany it, by Mimmo Paladino.
"I'm not a singer," explains Muscat. They've never been. What seems to be singing on stage is just another form of my writing ... The song, as the syntax, as the style, like the performing arts, such as dance, movement ... are all variations of the soul's desire to express themselves. (…) Childbirth from the Neapolitan sounds (genetic), from large local music authors: Viviani, Gill, Taranto, Trovajoli, or even singing well-known hits ("Torna a Surriento", "Cerasella", "Anema e core" etc.), then ' spaesarli ' cruelly – dislocarli – and, thus, causing them to flow over the whole world, the internationality of voice – graffiti as Artaud; making them meet/clash with authors like Brecht, Weill, Eisler, Marguerite Duras ... In this case, "Toledo Suite" presents a thematic-symbolic thread that ties together three things: Toledo – as neighborhood, the music, the whores. Why? That affinity, that proximity can be ever between these three seemingly disparate factors?I'd say that what binds them is the deep sense of loss ... "
