The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert at Glasgow OVO Hydro

Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is presented on a 60ft HD screen alongside a live performance of Howard Shore's Academy Award-winning score, performed by over 200 musicians and singers. The Glasgow performance features conductor Shih-Hung Young, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, RSNO Chorus, and RSNO Youth Chorus, marking the first time the production has been staged in the city. The film follows Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), a hobbit enlisted by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) to undertake an epic quest to save Middle-earth. This marks the 25th anniversary of the film's original release in 2001.
