First performed for Christmas in 1734, Bach's Christmas Oratorio comprises six cantatas, each intended for performance on a feast day in the Christmas period. Performances take place at St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin and St Peter's Church of Ireland, Drogheda Co. Louth.
