Pat Shortt hits Ballina as part of the final Irish tour of his hit one-man comedy show charting the life of Dixie Walsh. Solo lounge musician Dixie ('Jumbo Breakfast Roll', 'Where Did My Money Go?') invites you to a tribute night to Dixie where all his peers and friends (the audience) come to celebrate his career. During the night Dixie reminisces about the path his career has taken and the struggles he has had to endure to get to the top of his game.

Pat Shortt is one of Ireland’s best-loved comedians. As the character Dixie Walsh, he has had one of the country's biggest-selling number one singles with ‘The Jumbo Breakfast Roll’. Until now the much-loved Dixie Walsh was a character who appeared in two of Pat’s sell out shows – “You Won’t Get Away With That Here” and “The Hall“. Now Dixie takes centre stage to tell his life story and shares his unique style of music with you in Pat’s new show 'I Am The Band'. Pat Shortt’s quirky interpretation of rural Irish characters brings to life: Dixie’s mother, his teacher and other locals who queue up to recall their daft memories of Dixie and his music.
