As part of our Short Play Season, and for 10 nights only, the Peacock stage plays host to two 20 minute plays about love, life and relationships in modern Ireland.
These bite-size plays are the perfect opportunity to see the work of two exciting playwrights Nancy Harris (No Romance) and Elaine Murphy (Little Gem and the upcoming Shush, on the Abbey stage in June 2013).
Oonagh Murphy celebrates her graduation from the Resident Assistant Director programme at the Abbey Theatre by directing this double bill.
In Love in a Glass Jar, by Nancy Harris, a sterile liaison in a hotel room threatens to spill over into real life.
During Ribbons, by Elaine Murphy, a parent and a child who have been concealing their true identities find it hard to cope when everything starts to unravel.
Love in a Glass Jar and Ribbons were first presented as public readings commissioned by the Abbey Theatre in 2008 and 2009. Now in 2013, they both receive full productions as a double bill.
