0800 CUPID is a genre-defying queer countercultural musical extravaganza written and performed by Cork-born cabaret star Emer Dineen, directed by Phillip McMahon, and produced by THISISPOPBABY. Through her drag persona 'Cupid', Dineen navigates her father's dementia diagnosis, a Tourette's diagnosis, and the loss of her call-centre job against the pulse of London's club scene. The show features a live band and a cast of theatrical mavericks, with co-composition by musical director Tom Beech and production by Irish EDM artist Elaine Mai. Presented as part of Cork Midsummer Festival, the show premiered at Dublin Theatre Festival 2024 before transferring to Soho Theatre in London.
