Hothouse Flowers Celebrate New Year's Eve In Association With Murphy's Stout
![]()
Hothouse Flowers return to Leeside when they play in the New Year at Cork Opera House on Monday December 31.
Hothouse Flowers have remained a consistent live force on the Irish music scene over the years and remain huge fans' favourites to this day. They were recently invited to feature in the opening scene of Amazon Prime's hugely successful The Grand Tour to perform their version of 'I Can See Clearly Now' for an invited audience in the Mojave Desert. The song went to Number 1 in the UK iTunes Rock Charts, 26 years after its first release! Their recent UK tour saw them reveal new material from their brand new album 'Let's Do This Thing' which is out now and available for download on the bands website with a general release is to follow very soon.
Despite the bands lengthy career, which is now heading into its fourth decade, there is a sense of unfinished business. Every night they want to play the best gig they have ever played and take musical risks that can make that possible. There are still songs to be written and emotions to share. Whether it's in a tiny club, an arena or in a festival field there is a sense that the best is yet to come.
Murphy's Stout will also be treating customers to a special VIP evening to see Hothouse Flowers at the opera house with access to their exclusive Murphy's lounge. A very limited number of tickets can be won through their social media page on www.facebook.com/MurphysOfficial/
Special guests for the night are Clare Sands & Gerald Ahern plus a DJ set from Cork's RedFM's Colm O' Sullivan.
