New Musical PERFECTLY VICTORIAN to Get 29-Hour Reading in NYC

Perfectly Victorian is a bold new musical set for a staged reading in the Broadway Bound Theater Festival on Friday August 17th at 1:30pm. The show features a score by Bryan Adam with Book & Lyrics by Bryan Adam & Matt Kelly.

The musical follows the story of Lady (Morgan Billings Smith), who is tired of playing the part of the subservient housewife to her husband, Wood (Ben Michael), a famous psychiatrist. When she secretly helps her husband's newest patient transition to a woman, she embarks on a journey that challenges rigid gender norms while exposing the double standards of Victorian society.

Rounding out the cast is Mykal Kilgore (Songs For A New World, Motown, Hair), Katie Ladner (Heathers, Sunset Boulevard, Wicked), David Sattler (Prince of Egypt), Zak Edwards (American In Paris), DJ Plunkett, Kimberly Wilpon and Dane Agostinis.

The reading is being directed by Jeffry Denman with Musical Direction by Christine Riley.
