MOMENTUM 2026 to Launch Rolling Speaker Series Across the US and Bahamas

Creative Evolutions, in partnership with Theatre Communications Group (TCG) and four universities across the US and in the Bahamas, has announced the National Speakers for MOMENTUM 2026, a rolling conference designed to generate new actionable options for the nonprofit sector and beyond.

MOMENTUM is evolving every element of how to gather and transform arts and culture ecosystems, starting with how our speakers collaborate around the same prompt and respond to the convenings before them.

Unlike traditional conferences, MOMENTUM functions as a living laboratory. Each two-day convening builds directly on the work of the previous gathering, creating a cumulative dialogue and public virtual release of actionable frameworks and prototypes.

"Formal arts education and cultural organizations should not simply prepare people to enter existing systems; they should take responsibility for reimagining systems that no longer serve us. Our work is not only to preserve culture, but to close the distance between cultural institutions and the people whose lives give them meaning." -Dr. Lee Bynum, MOMENTUM National Speaker in Norman, Oklahoma.

Who Is In The National Rolling Speaker Series?

MOMENTUM kicks off in San Juan at Theatre Communications Group's Annual National Conference with our very own CE Co-Founder Calida Jones!

University of Oklahoma June 26-27, Dr. Lee Bynum, Executive Director of Maestra Music

University of The Bahamas July 14-15, Dr. Heather Sauyaq Jean Kwamboka Gordon, PhD, Sauyaq Solutions, an Indigenous minority and female owned business

Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University July 25-26, Lauren Ruffin, thinker, designer, & leader interested in building strong, sustainable, anti-racist systems & organizations

Minneapolis College of Art and Design August 5-6, Lanxing Fu, Co-Executive Director of HERE Arts Center

Professionals, faculty, students, funders, and civic leaders are invited to attend one or more locations across the summer. Each convening stands on its own while also contributing to a larger national exchange, allowing participants to engage locally while helping shape a broader body of actionable leadership models.

Registration is now open at MomentumRevolutions.com.
