The Immersive Experience Awards will officially open for entries today, launching a new international awards program dedicated to recognizing excellence across immersive theatre, escape rooms, projection-led exhibitions, XR/VR/AR experiences, experiential dining, and brand activations.

The awards have been established in response to the growing role of immersive storytelling across cultural and live experience sectors. The program is designed to acknowledge work ranging from small-scale pop-up performances and independent escape rooms to large-scale digital environments and touring immersive exhibitions.

“More audiences now expect to step into stories, not just watch them,” said Inna Dinsdale, Co-Founder of the Immersive Experience Awards. “From small teams of makers to global productions, there is extraordinary craft driving the immersive sector forward. It deserves a platform where it can celebrated.”

Open to creators worldwide, the awards invite submissions from theatre-makers, puzzle and game designers, XR developers, projection artists, branded experience agencies, cultural institutions, and immersive dining innovators. The inaugural program will feature seven categories and is administered by a team with more than a decade of experience running international creative competitions.

Entries will open on January 15, with an Early Bird deadline of February 10. Winners are scheduled to be announced in the summer. Full entry details, rules, and category information are available through the awards’ official website.
