Broadway's Jeff Whiting Directs 29-Hour Reading Of Upcoming Musical THE IMAGINARY

Creators Joshua Betancourt and Trent Jeffords have announced today The Imaginary, A New Musical is set for a NYC 29-hour reading in November. With book by Joshua Betancourt, music & lyrics by Trent Jeffords and based on the novel written by A.F. Harrold & illustrated by Emily Gravett.

Broadway's Jeff Whiting will be directing and bringing this highly anticipated new musical to life, along with Andy Collopy as music director. The Imaginary, A New Musical will be co-produced by Open Jar Productions.

Full casting will be announced later this month.

Rudger appears to be Amanda's only friend. However, he doesn't exist, but nobody is perfect.

The inseparable pair soon realize that only Amanda can see her Imaginary Friend, or so they think until they meet a mysterious stranger, Mr. Bunting, hunts imaginaries. Rumors say that he eats them, and he's sniffed out Rudger.

Soon Rudger is alone and grasping onto his quickly fading life. Can a boy who is invisible to the world and everyone around him make a difference and find his purpose in life before he fades away?
