Jakarta Will Host First-Ever Nano-Mugen Festival Outside Japan in May 2025

The Japanese music festival, Nano-Mugen Festival, will make its international debut in Jakarta this May. Organized by the acclaimed rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, the festival will take place at Ecopark Ancol on May 24 and 25, 2025.
This marks the first time the festival, traditionally held in Yokohama, Japan, will be hosted outside its home country. The Jakarta edition promises an electrifying lineup, featuring performances by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Ellegarden, Homecomings, KANA-BOON, Quruli, and international artist Beck.
Since its inception in 2004, this festival has championed the spirit of rock in all its forms, bringing together artists from across the world and uniting fans through the power of music. From its early days in Yokohama Arena, NANO-MUGEN FES. became a defining stage for boundary-pushing artists, blending Japanese and international acts in a way that no other festival had before.
Now, after 11 years of hiatus, NANO-MUGEN FES. is back—and for the first time ever, it’s happening outside of Japan. Jakarta will be the first city to host this legendary festival, marking a new era of cultural exchange and musical connection. This is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of sound, culture, and unity.
