Buck Creek Players Present EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD (AND THEN SOME!)

By:

Experience the Buck Creek Players Collection of Favorites as we continue our 43rd season of quality theater with the festive and hilarious EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD (AND THEN SOME!) by John K. Alvarez, Michael Carleton, and James FitzGerald with original music by Will Knapp. Our 199th production will open on Friday, December 2nd, and continue for three weekends through December 18th, as we count down to our 200th production IN 2017. Curtain times are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sunday. All performances will be held at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Admission is $18 for adults and $16 for students and senior citizens (62 and older). This production is recommended for revelers ages 13 and up. Reservations are recommended, and may be reserved securely online with no added fees at www.buckcreekplayers.com.

Group discounts are available with a group of 10 or more when purchased online. What starts off as a simple performance of A Christmas Carol soon mutates into a festive Frankenstein of ancient traditions and pop culture hijinks. Join three performers (Jessica Bartley, Stacia Ann Hulen and Steven R. Linville) as they try to make sense of holiday tales and traditions throughout the ages. How do people celebrate Christmas in other countries? What was St. Nicholas really like? WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH FRUITCAKE?! All these questions and more are asked in this hilarious send-up of beloved holiday classics, where nobody is safe from ridicule! Put some mistletoe above your expectations and kiss them goodbye, because there's no telling what will happen next in this festive and merry manic mash-up of everyone's favorite yuletide yarns. Whether you're a Scrooge or Jolly Old St. Nick himself, you'll ho, ho, ho out loud.

D. Scott Robinson returns to direct at The Playhouse after most recently directing our past productions of ASSASSINS, THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS GARLAND, and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. Joining him on the production team are Lynne B. Robinson (Producer), Aaron B. Bailey (Set Designer/Technical Director), Cathy Cutshall (Costume Designer), Sue Kuehnhold (Lighting Designer), and Melissa DeVito (Stage Manager/Properties Designer). Mr. Robinson also serves as Sound Designer for the production.
