Broadway's N'Kenge Performs with Indianapolis Symphony Tonight
N'Kenge, who has been busy with Motown eight shows a week will take a quick break from Broadway to perform as a soloist continuing the era of the 60's with Indianapolis Symphony. Indianapolis Symphony will turn back the clock to the 1960's when the "Fab Four" took the world by storm, The Beach Boys made summer "endless," and The Supremes put Motown on the map. Reminisce with music from television, movie themes, as well as popular hits from the airwaves, including music by Burt Bacharach, Simon & Garfunkel, Frankie Valli and more.
N'Kenge made her West End debut starring in The Genius of Ray Charles and has been hailed by Variety as "a sensational powerhouse of a singer packed in a lithe body". N'Kenge made her Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Pops Orchestra where NY Times called her "a classically trained diva that can stretch from Broadway, Pop Soul to Opera. N'Kenge has performed as a soloist with many Symphonies including Cleveland Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Cincinnatti Symphony and Naples Philharmonic to name a few.
