Russell has been performing at jazz clubs, cabarets and blues festivals all over the world and has
twice appeared at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's New York Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center. She has sung with the likes of Paul Simon, Samantha Fox, Jackson Browne, Ricki Lee Jones, Diana Ross, and more. She sang with Al Green on "Late Night with David Letterman,"and Bette Midler on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Russell was born with an enviable musical pedigree. Her father,
the late Luis Russell, was Louis Armstrong's long-time musical director. Her mother, Carline Ray, is an outstanding bassist and vocalist.

Russell has released two solo CDs, "Cat" and "Sentimental Streak", to rave reviews, landing her spots on Billboards Jazz Charts, Jazz Week, as well as a top 10 download on the i-Tunes Jazz Chart.
