This North American tour of The Sound of Music honors the 65th anniversary of the musical's original stage debut and is produced by Concord Theatricals and NETworks Presentations. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Danny Mefford, the production tells the spirited, romantic story of Maria and the von Trapp family set in the hills of Austria. The score features legendary songs including My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Edelweiss, and The Sound of Music, with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The design team includes Douglas Schmidt, Jane Greenwood, Natasha Katz, Kai Harada, and Andy Einhorn.
