Betsy Cook Weber conducts the Houston Chamber Choir with members of Mercury Chamber Orchestra in Dietrich Buxtehude's 1680 Membra Jesu nostri, a cycle of seven sacred cantatas each venerating a different part of the crucified Christ's body. Considered the first German oratorio, this historic work is performed in collaboration with Mercury Chamber Orchestra, one of Houston's early music specialist ensembles.
