Moores Opera Center presents another live, in-person opera experience, La Finta Semplice (The Clever Deceiver) with performances Friday, April 9th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, April 11th at 2:00 PM. Music by W.A. Mozart | Libretto by Carlo Goldoni adapted by Marco ColtelliniSung in the original Italian with projected translation over the stageA little deception can be forgiven in the pursuit of love. In this charming and graceful comedy, a countess pretends to be more innocent than she really is to catch the eye of a wealthy man. This lovely comedy began Mozarts career in opera and is filled with youthful high spirits and an abundance of catchy and tuneful arias. Come hear some of Houstons only live, in-person opera this season!For everyones safety, we have put in place extensive precautions to help mitigate the risk of the spread of Covid-19.Patrons and staff will be required to wear masks throughout the event, except when eating or drinking.Seating will be assigned by ushers upon arrival to ensure proper social distancing between parties. Event staff will ensure that social distancing is strictly adhered to by all attendees from arrival to departure from the event.All ticketing will be contactless. Tickets must be ordered in advance online. Please have your tickets printed or open on your mobile device upon arrival. The Box Office will not be open for Will Call or walk-up registration.The performance will also be live-streamed for our patrons and supporters who prefer to enjoy the opera from the comfort and safety of their home.
