Apollo Chamber Players presents ENLIGHTEN, a multidisciplinary program showcasing the world premiere of Lembit Beecher’s composition Cassette Dreams of the Singing Revolution. This work, inspired by the nonviolent uprisings in the Baltic countries, highlights cultural influences and honors the enduring contributions of Native American heritage. Narration will be provided by Houston-based Indigenous actress Amelia Rico, enhancing the musical exploration of how Indigenous wisdom has shaped the U.S. Constitution and its democratic ethos. The concert is a part of the American Story series, which reflects on the narratives that shape the nation's identity as it approaches its 250th anniversary.
