Stage Door Inc. Announces FRANKENSTEIN: THE NEW MUSICAL, 8/31-9/23

Frankenstein: The New Musical opens Friday, August 31, 2012 and runs, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm, weekends through September 23, 2012. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors or students with ID. Group rates are available for all performances.

Mary Shelley’s horror story of a man, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, first striving to create life and then grappling with the horrific consequences of his very Creation is brought to new life itself in this gothic, new musical adaptation. With a haunting and breathtaking score, this innovative take on the classic story is a feast for the eyes and ears. It is a timeless tale of man’s quest for knowledge, fear of the unknown, love of family and search for acceptance.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Stage Door Inc. is a GLBT friendly theatre. Saturday, September 8th will be Stage Door’s OUT@SDI night. Starting at 7:00pm before the 8:00pm show there will be complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the lobby for GLBT audience members, their friends and family.

There will be a special “Pay What You Can” Performance on Thursday, September 13th at 8:00pm; donations of at least $5 are suggested.

Stage Door Inc. is a local, community theatre located inside the Pasadena Town Square Mall. Voted Best Family Entertainment Venue in Pasadena for the last two years in a row by the Pasadena Citizen readers, Stage Door is a true “community” theater. They partner with the Pasadena Strawberry Festival and are proud members of both the Pasadena and the Deer Park Chambers of Commerce.
