Houston Chamber Choir To Present OPEN-ISH MIC NIGHT Season Finale At The Match

The Houston Chamber Choir will present Open-ish Mic Night on May 30, 2026, at The MATCH (Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston), marking the ensemble’s 2025–26 season finale.

Performances will take place at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., with the later performance including admission to a post-show reception.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The program will depart from the Choir’s traditional choral repertoire, featuring pop songs and show tunes performed by ensemble members as soloists and in small groups. The evening will also include appearances by guest artists from the Houston community, creating a mix of professional and local voices.

PERFORMANCE DETAILS

The 8:00 p.m. performance will be followed by a casual “Reception-ish,” offering champagne, snacks, and an opportunity for audiences and performers to gather at the close of the season.

Tickets range from $10 for students to $50 for general admission, with discounts available for seniors, military personnel, and educators. Parking is available at the nearby Mid-Main Garage, along with metered street options.

ABOUT THE CHOIR

The Houston Chamber Choir is a Grammy Award-winning ensemble of 24 professional singers. The group is led by Artistic Director Dr. Betsy Cook Weber, who began her tenure this season. Founded by Robert Simpson, the Choir has received national and international recognition, including a Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance for its recording of the complete choral works of Maurice Duruflé.
